Creepyshy behind bars

NATG Redux day 27: draw a pony in a dungeon. (Previous day 27: [nsfw] “Interrogation”)

Fluttershy has apparently gone grimdark, and is now locked in a dungeon with her wings magic'd off. She also has bleeding goth mascara!

Oooh, creepy!

Okay seriously the smudging there is because I accidently dragged my arm all over the paper like a numbskull since I wasn't paying as much attention as I could've been. Lesson learned...again.


Anyway, I started this on a whim earlier than I normally start these things, and decided to just drop down lines and see what happens. Sorta like how you see all those livestream artists do. They just pick a thing to draw, then start drawing.

This is the result of that experiment, and I thought it came out pretty interestingly myself. I started with a head circle, then did that plus–sign thing you see some artists use, then face, ears, mane, torso, legs, bars. Only took fifteen minutes to sketch, another fifteen minutes to darken, then fifteen more to color in the eyes and do mane shading.

I noticed I forgot her wings early on, but instead of adding them, I purposefully left them off since I thought it was more interesting that they'd be magically locked or something, like what Discord did. Same for the eyes, I didn't use the moe slanty eyelids because A) I forgot, and B) I liked how it was more thematic without them.

Bars were left unshaded since I ran out of time, so you can see the rest of Fluttershy's outlines there too.


Additionally, this is another refless image. Her neck's kinda awkward because of that, and the mane is wrong I think, and she's slightly more Buttershy than she is Fluttershy, but overall I'm still happy. Frankly I'm surprised it came out as well as it did, considering I just went for it instead of thinking about it.
