Description
week 28: draw a pony working.
So there I was, completely not feeling the art at all, totally ready to wait until the last minute to blah something out, when *Chromadancer was like SUDDENLY, DRAWING! and I was like DRAWING? and everypony went all and so I drew a stickpony Twilight Sparkle.
And then I realized I actually had fun doing that, so I added shelves, and then books, and then floating books, and then magic auras, and then colored everything in, and then drew that big book up there.
Apparently, stickponies are the gateway through artblock and lack of care. Spent an hour and a half just idly working on this and yammering on IRC, was pretty nice overall.
The books floating next to Twilight here, I shaded with different methods, including squigglies, jaggies, and a sort of rain–ish pattern.
I liked the latter one the most, so I tried it again on the big book, but accidentally did it wrong, so I tried it a third time on that smaller book that's on the middle left of the page. I think it came out better, and is likely the magic aura shading style I'll use again next time around.
Anyway, thanks to *Chromadancer for helping me learn to deal with artblock and moods where I don't care.
